Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed profound grief over the tragic death of Sadiq Gentle, a Senior Special Reporter with the Ministry of History and Culture, who succumbed to injuries from a violent attack by suspected hoodlums.
In a condolence message released by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf described the late journalist as a “dedicated and patriotic social media professional” whose untimely death has deeply shaken the state’s media community and government.
“The news of Malam Sadiq Gentle’s passing came as a heavy blow. He was a committed civil servant—peaceful, principled, and loyal to the cause of public service. His brutal killing is not only heartbreaking but an assault on our shared values,” the governor stated.
