In a surprise inspection, the State Head of Service, Sulaiman S. Fulani Ahmadu, today visited several MDAs, including the Sokoto Urban and Regional Planning Board, Ministry of Environment, Agency for Mass Education, Local Government Audit, and Board of Survey.
He also visited the State Universal Basic Education Board, Department of Rural Water Supply, Electrification, and Rural Roads, as well as the Ministries of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Budget and Economic Planning, Finance, Agriculture and Livestock, and Fisheries Development.
The State Head of Service expressed disappointment at the poor turnout of some civil servants at their duty posts.
He noted that except for the Ministries of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Agriculture and Livestock and Fisheries Development, where all directors were actively present, attendance at other institutions were disappointing.
Alhaji Sulaiman S. Fulani Ahmadu appreciated their efforts and encouraged them to maintain the tempo.
Following the inspection, the State Head of Service directed the Directors of the State Urban and Regional Planning Board and the State Environment Agency to report to the Permanent Secretary, Administration and General Services, warning that the state government would not tolerate such laxity Sokoto.
