The Adamawa State Government has approved a supplementary budget of N169.1 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.

The State Executive Council approved the supplementary budget during its weekly meeting on Thursday.

The state House of Assembly had earlier passed a total budget of N583.3 billion for the 2026 fiscal year into law in December 2025.

With the approval of the supplementary budget, the state’s 2026 budget has increased to N752.4 billion.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting on Friday in Yola, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barrister Leader Leneke, said the approval was granted at the 16th meeting of the State Executive Council, chaired by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

He said the supplementary funds had been distributed among various ministries, departments and agencies according to the needs and priorities of the state.

The council also approved several major projects covering road construction, drainage, healthcare, electricity, education and other sectors.
