The Department of State Service has detained a medical doctor allegedly linked to kidnapping syndicates in Kwara State.
The security agency apprehended the doctor in the Jebba axis after receiving intelligence on the operations of the kidnappers and their drug couriers.
According to officials, the criminal groups seem in urgent need of treatment for gunshot injuries sustained during clashes with security operatives.
“So, we are advising improved security measures in health facilities in thickly forested areas which the kidnappers may target,” according to a security official.
