The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on Saturday continued activities marking its 25th anniversary with the launch of a ₦100 billion endowment fund aimed at supporting development initiatives across Northern Nigeria.
The fund was inaugurated by prominent industrialist Abdussamad Isyaku Rabiu, who announced a personal pledge of ₦2.5 billion, matched by fellow business mogul Aliko Dangote.
Speaking at the launch, Rabiu said he and Dangote remain committed to advancing the region.
“We are always ready to contribute to the progress of the North,” he said.
He added that both men share a long-standing relationship built on trust and mutual understanding.
“We have a strong bond and clear understanding between us, and we believe in supporting meaningful development,” Rabiu stated.
Major Donations
Several prominent individuals and institutions also announced contributions: Alhaji Dahiru Mangal – ₦1 billion, Gen. T.Y. Danjuma (rtd.) – ₦1 billion, A.A. Rano – ₦100 million, Nigerian Senate – ₦100 million, House of Representatives – ₦100 million, ACF Finance Committee – ₦500 million, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi – ₦30 million, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin – ₦50 million, Daura Emirate Council – ₦5 million
As of day three, the endowment fund has surpassed ₦9 billion, with ACF officials saying donations are still coming in.
