“I want you to know that the Kwara State Government stands as your guardian, your protector and your supporter. We carry you in our hearts and in our policies. We are committed to giving you not just shelter but a future filled with care, education, dignity and opportunity,” she said.
The Commissioner explained that the party was organised to uplift the spirits of the children, enhance their general well-being and foster a sense of belonging, adding that the gathering was more than a celebration, noting that it is “a moment of love, compassion, reassurance and an opportunity to remind our precious children that they are seen, valued and deeply loved.”
She commended the state government’s development partners whose initiatives are focused on addressing children’s concerns across the state, describing them as an integral part of government efforts to protect children’s rights, while appreciating their perspectives and feedback in strengthening child-centred programmes.
