An officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Inspector Shabali Adamu, has lost his life in a fatal road accident along the Damba–Gusau expressway in Zamfara State.
He was returning home to Kwatarkoshi after work on Monday evening when the accident occurred.
Reports revealed that “a statement by the Nigerian Correctional Service Zamfara Public Relations Officer ASC1 Mustapha Abubakar, said the outgoing Controller of Correctional Service Zamfara State Command, Assistant Controller General (ACG) Alhaji Musa Tanko, described the deceased as a dedicated officer who gave his best in the service of the nation and the Correctional Service.”
The ACG, speaking on behalf of the officers and men of the Zamfara State Command, conveyed deep condolences to the late officer’s family, colleagues, and the entire Nigerian Correctional Service. He described the loss as a painful one for the institution.
Inspector Adamu was serving at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Gusau until his passing, where he was regarded as a diligent and committed officer dedicated to his duties.
