Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council (SEC).
The decision was made known during the council meeting held on Monday morning at the Government House in Minna, the state capital.
The governor explained that the move was part of ongoing efforts to reposition his administration for greater efficiency and service delivery.
He described the dissolution as a necessary step in renewing governance strategy for the state.
Bago commends outgoing commissioners
Bago commended the outgoing commissioners for their dedication and contributions, noting that their efforts played a role in moving Niger State forward during their time in office.
He also wished them success in their future endeavours.
While announcing the dissolution, the governor made it clear that not all officials were affected.
According to him, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal aides in the Governor’s Office will retain their positions.
