The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday launched the Northwest E-Registration Train-the-Trainers Refresher Training in Kaduna, advancing its digital membership drive.
Declaring the event open, APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, represented by Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, said the initiative will modernize party management and strengthen internal democracy.
“This training prepares our structures for the next political cycle through innovation, discipline, and unity,” Yilwatda said.
Governor Uba Sani, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdulkadir Meyare, commended the move as timely and strategic, stressing that accurate registration would boost the party’s legitimacy and grassroots strength.
“This training reflects our collective commitment to innovation, accountability, and inclusion. Accurate and inclusive registration will enhance our party’s legitimacy and grassroots strength,” Uba Sani said.
He cited Kaduna’s digital governance strides under the Smart City Project and Open Government Partnership as models for transparency and innovation.
APC National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu, said the exercise aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of a smart and transparent party where every member is “visible, verifiable, and valuable.”
Chairman of the E-Registration Committee, Lord Mayor Emma Eneukwu, noted that the digital system covers Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Jigawa, requiring members’ NIN and INEC numbers for verification.
The training included sessions on digital tools, data protection, and grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.
