Kano Gov, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf

Kano, Nigeria – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of a new set of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to strengthen the administration’s performance and accelerate people-centered service delivery in the state.

This was disclosed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in an official statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The newly appointed aides include Hon. Sunusi Kata Madobi as Senior Special Assistant on Radio I (replacing the late Abdullahi Tanka), Mika’ilu Shu’aibu (Ghari) as SSA on Hisbah, Muhktar Abdullahi Shuwaki (Ghari) as SSA on Land, and Engr. Sagir Lawan Waziri (Ghari) as SSA on Corporate Social Responsibility (Works). Others are Najeef Abdulsalam as SSA on Yan Akwati (Men), Huwaila Iguda as SSA on Yan Akwati II (Women), Naziru Hamidu Bako as SSA on KAROTA, and Usman Abbas Sunusi as SSA on Protocol II.

Also appointed are Engr. Usman Kofar Naisa as SSA on Mahaha Sports Complex, Danladi Alhassan Mai-Bulala as SSA on Public Mobilization II, Abdulkhadir Umar Kwankwaso as SSA on Education (Abuja), and Balarabe Aminu Yusuf as SSA on Domestic III (Guest Government House), promoted from Personal Assistant Domestic. The list continues with Shukurana Garba Langel as SSA on Public Mobilization – Kano North, Mustapha Ma’aruf Diso as SSA on Primary Healthcare, Garba Yahaya Labour as SSA on Transportation I, and Humaira Sharif as SSA on Women Enlightenment.

Others are Muttaka Sani Gaya as SSA on Support Groups III, Gausu Nuhu Wali as SSA on Indigenous Artists, and Hadiza Sale (Baby) as SSA on Sanitation.

The Kano State Government expressed confidence that these appointees will deploy their experience and dedication to help achieve the administration’s vision of a more inclusive, accountable, and responsive government.
