Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has said that the achievements of young people like Aisha Umar Kadafur strengthen his belief that the state’s investments in education and human development are producing results.

He made this known on Saturday during the graduation ceremony and official presentation of the book “Echoes of Memory” authored by Aisha Kadafur, daughter of the deputy governor.

Aisha, a law graduate from Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, is an advocate of peace and girl-child education.

Her 25-page book contains 25 poems addressing issues such as girl-child empowerment, morality, technology, and mental health.

Prof. Zulum congratulated Aisha for her accomplishment, describing education as the most effective instrument for transforming individuals and society.

“Today, we gather not only to rejoice over an academic milestone but to honor a young lady whose passion for learning and writing has produced a meaningful contribution to literature and personal development,” Zulum said.

He assured that his administration will continue to enhance the education sector and deliver meaningful progress to the people of Borno State.

Zulum described Aisha’s work as a symbol of reflection and courage, saying the book “Echoes of Memory” represents the thoughts of a young mind determined to make a positive impact on the world.

“It gives me renewed confidence that our investments in education, empowerment, and human development are not in vain,” he said.

The governor also praised his working relationship with the deputy governor, noting that his attendance at the event showed the harmony within his administration.

“Looking at the relationship between myself and the deputy, I said I must be around. I felt that in my absence there would be a missing link — which is the father of the family. Indeed, I am the father of Aisha,” he said.

He described his six-year partnership with the deputy governor as an example of teamwork that deserves emulation.

The governor launched copies of the book with a donation of N50 million on behalf of the government and people of Borno State.

“May Almighty Allah bless the celebrant for the good work she has done,” Zulum concluded.
