President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kano on Friday, July 18, 2025, to personally offer condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a revered businessman, philanthropist, and elder statesman.
His arrival at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at exactly 3:30 p.m. was marked by a warm reception from Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside senior government officials and prominent figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alhaji Aminu Dantata passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 94 in the United Arab Emirates. He was later buried in Saudi Arabia, where he had spent his final days.
President Tinubu, accompanied by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibril, and several cabinet ministers, visited the Dantata family to offer heartfelt condolences and reflect on the life and legacy of the late industrialist.
Among those at the airport to receive the President were former Kano deputy governorship candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, his running mate Murtala Sule Garo, APC state chairman Abdullahi Abbas, and Minister of State for Housing Abdullahi Ata, among others.
