Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with faith-based and humanitarian organisations to advance compassion, peace, and social development across the state.
Speaking as Chief Host at the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Nigeria Aid Group of Islam, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), held at the Umaru Yar’Adua Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna, the governor described the organisation as “a beacon of compassion and service to humanity.”
The governor paid tribute to the founders and leadership of the organisation, commending its contributions to education, healthcare delivery, social welfare, Hajj coordination, advocacy, and disaster response nationwide.
“For five decades, the Nigeria Aid Group of Islam has stood with the vulnerable and the underserved, driven by faith, sacrifice, and a deep sense of social responsibility,” Sani said.
He acknowledged the challenges confronting the organisation, including funding and logistical pressures, and assured it of government support.
“Institutions that place humanity at the centre of their work deserve encouragement and collaboration, especially in periods of social and economic strain,” he added.
Governor Sani also restated his administration’s vision for Kaduna State, anchored on peace, security, inclusion, and sustainable development.
He highlighted progress recorded through the Kaduna Peace Model and ongoing efforts to expand vocational and skills-based opportunities for young people.
“We are rebuilding trust between government and citizens and restoring confidence through deliberate peace-building and inclusive development initiatives,” he said.
At the event, the governor accepted his appointment as Patron of the organisation and an Award of Excellence, describing both honours as a collective responsibility rather than personal recognition.
