This The Zamfara State Government has again expressed readiness to partner with individuals and groups willing to contribute their quota towards addressing the challenges of insecurity across the state.

The State Acting Governor, His Excellency Mani Malam Mummuni, made this known during the weekend at the turbaning ceremony of 17 distinguished indigenes of Bungudu Emirate, who were conferred with various traditional titles by the Emir of Bungudu.

Speaking at the event, the Acting Governor reaffirmed that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal has placed the fight against banditry and other forms of criminality at the top of its priorities.

He emphasized the need for collective efforts and called on citizens to intensify prayers for the successful eradication of the menace.

Mummuni also congratulated the newly turbaned titleholders, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Emirate Council. He noted that their selection was based on merit, dedication, and selfless service to humanity.

The event attracted dignitaries from within and outside the state, marking another step in strengthening traditional institutions as key partners in promoting peace and unity in Zamfara.
