Over 3,550 final-year primary school pupils have written the 2026 Common Entrance Examination in Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The candidates, selected from primary schools across the local government area, participated in the examination as part of the requirements for admission into junior secondary schools.

The Secretary of the Kaugama Local Education Authority, Ibrahim Muktar Kazaure, said five examination centres were allocated for the exercise.

The centres are Kaugama, Dakayyawa, Yalo, Marke and another designated centre within the local government area.

Kazaure praised the Chairman of Kaugama Local Government, Hon. Usman Masaki Dansule, for providing meals to all 3,550 candidates during the examination, describing the initiative as one that helped ensure a conducive atmosphere for the pupils.

He also appreciated the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, for his administration’s sustained commitment to strengthening teaching and learning across the state.

Speaking after monitoring the examination, the Chairman of Kaugama Local Government, Hon. Usman Masaki Dansule, encouraged the candidates to remain focused and dedicated to their studies. He wished them success in the examination and urged them to continue striving for academic excellence.
