The Adamawa State government has commissioned the newly built Government House Yola Friday Mosque.

The commissioning signalled the completion of the mosque, which is expected to serve as a befitting place of worship for Muslim faithful within the Government House and nearby communities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri praised the resilience and contributions of everyone who supported the construction of the mosque.

Fintiri urged Muslims to support Islamic activities and encouraged parents to ensure their children receive both Islamic and Western education, describing education as vital to producing responsible members of society.

In his remarks, Sheikh Abubakar Muktar Yola stressed the importance of unity among Muslims and called on the faithful to uphold the values and teachings of Islam.

He praised Governor Fintiri for constructing a befitting Juma’at Mosque at the Government House, noting that there had previously been no mosque of such within the premises.
