The Kwara State Government has announced the immediate dismissal of all Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs) and local government treasurers across the state’s 16 local councils.
The order was conveyed in a circular dated October 13, 2025, issued by the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission and signed by Mallam R. D. Mustapha on behalf of the commission’s chairman.
According to the document, the dismissed officials must promptly hand over to the Heads of Departments (Administration) and accountants in their respective local government areas.
“This temporary arrangement will remain in place pending the appointment of substantive Directors of Personnel Management and treasurers,” the circular added.
