President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to immediately begin the construction of two hostels, each with 300 rooms, for the Nigerian Law School in Abuja.
He also ordered the development of a road connecting the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District with Nile University.
According to a statement on Tuesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, the projects will be undertaken under emergency consideration.
He explained that the plan involves building one female hostel and one male hostel, both with a capacity for 300 students, to improve accommodation at the school.
Olayinka further noted that the new road, once completed, would ease traffic congestion on the route leading to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
