Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has made a significant appointment, naming Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf Sambo as his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties.
This latest move has generated varied reactions, with many awaiting Sambo’s contributions to the state’s development.
He was born and bred in Enugu, and he’s very fluent in speaking Igbo.
He was also appointed as a committee member for the Enugu State Security and Peace Committee by Gov. Mbah.
Sambo is also the National Vice Chairman 1, Inter-tribal Leaders Association of Nigeria.
He has helped to facilitate a lot of appointees and representatives in various committees in the state government.
According to The Nation, Sambo attributes Enugu’s safety to the foundation laid by former Governor Ugwuanyi, who fostered an environment of peaceful coexistence. As he takes on his new role, Sambo is expected to leverage his experience and influence to further enhance the state’s harmony and progress.
