In a renewed push, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development, Alhaji Bello Muhammad Wamakko, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cattle vaccination campaign in Toma village, Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
During a monitoring visit, Wamakko was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and the Chairman of Bodinga Local Government Area. The Commissioner visited the settlement and praised the veterinary workers and host community for their cooperation, assuring that all communities across the state will benefit from the vaccination programme.
Chairman Muhammad Shehu Dingyadi described the initiative as timely, noting that local communities have recently battled serious livestock diseases affecting cattle and poultry. He pledged full support from the local government to ensure the success of the exercise.
Other speakers, including ministry officials, representatives of Miyetti Allah, and the Head of Toma settlement, applauded the state government’s dedication to livestock health and promised their cooperation.
The team leader, Dr. Bashar Gwanda Gobir, Assistant Director of Veterinary Services, was commended for his role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the vaccination campaign across Sokoto State.
