Authorities in Accra, Ghana, have arrested 93 Nigerians during a major operation targeting suspected cybercrime and human-trafficking activities.

According to the Ghana Immigration Service, the arrests followed an intelligence-led raid on six houses at Devtraco Estate in Accra, where officials say a network involved in internet fraud was operating.

Officials say 91 of the suspects are men and two are women, all facing possible charges related to cybercrime and immigration violations.

During the operation, immigration officers also rescued 73 victims, many of whom were reportedly forced to participate in online scams. The victims have since been repatriated to Nigeria.

Authorities also recovered several items believed to have been used for fraudulent activities, including 82 laptops, 57 mobile phones, 17 television sets, counterfeit US dollars, and fake gold bars.

Investigations are ongoing as Ghanaian authorities continue efforts to dismantle cybercrime networks operating in the country.
