Nigeria’s Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award, following an outstanding year of performances for both club and country.

FIFA officially announced the nominees and launched the voting process for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 on Thursday. Fans, coaches, and team captains across the world can now cast their votes through the official FIFA app.

Nnadozie’s nomination comes as no surprise to many football enthusiasts. The 24-year-old shot-stopper has been in superb form for Paris FC in France and the Super Falcons of Nigeria, delivering world-class performances, pulling off crucial penalty saves, and leading from the back with confidence and composure.

She will be competing for the global honour alongside top international goalkeepers such as Christiane Endler, Ann-Katrin Berger, Hannah Hampton, Cata Coll, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

This recognition marks another major milestone for African women’s football and reaffirms Nnadozie’s growing status as one of the finest goalkeepers in the world.

Voting for the 2025 edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards remains open, with winners to be announced at a special FIFA ceremony later this year.
