Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that his white wedding with Chioma Rowland will be held in August 2025.
White wedding to hold in Miami
In an interview with Breakfast Club, the ‘Aye’ crooner disclosed that the ceremony will take place in the United States.
“I’m doing my white wedding in Miami, in August this year,” he said.
Davido and Chioma had their traditional wedding in June 2024. The singer noted that the event gained massive attention in Nigeria due to the couple’s public relationship and past tragedies.
“Our traditional marriage shut down Nigeria because our relationship was in the public eye, and a lot have happened, apart from losing our child,” he said.
Addressing rift with Tiwa Savage
Davido also spoke about his previous fallout with fellow music star Tiwa Savage, who filed a petition against him in January 2024. Savage had alleged threats of assault and harm after posting a photo with Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child.
The singer explained that the misunderstanding was linked to a custody dispute with Momodu, during which he hoped Savage would support his efforts to access his daughter.
“Tiwa Savage and I used to stay in the same house; she is my big sister. She saw me as a youngling,” he said.
“The situation with Tiwa was personal. She is a good friend of the mother of my first daughter. So, when we were in a quarrel over custody, I felt Tiwa could help me see my daughter, so we got into a little argument.
“It was nothing. It was just like a brother and sister arguing. I haven’t seen her since then, but she did reach out.”
Despite the brief dispute, Davido praised Savage for her impact on the music industry.
“I love her child, I saw him grow up. Tiwa is an amazing person; she changed the game for females in the industry, and she will always have that respect.
“That’s my sister. I will never let anything happen to her.”
