The IMF attributed this to ongoing fiscal pressures, inflation, and challenges in the oil and non-oil sectors.
It urged Nigeria and other large economies in the region to intensify reforms that would improve productivity, stabilize the macroeconomic environment, and attract more private investment.
The IMF reaffirmed that inclusive growth and sound policy implementation remain key for sustaining the continent’s economic momentum.
