The Sokoto State Hisbah Board has announced that it is searching for two individuals declared wanted across the state.
The persons identified are Y. America and Asma’u Gorgeous.
According to a statement from the acting commander, Imam Sirajo Abubakar, officers were deployed to different locations on Tuesday in an effort to locate and arrest the suspects.
The board said the operation is ongoing as part of its enforcement duties in Sokoto State.
Y America and Asma’u Gorgeous are notorious for promiscuous life styles crossing the borders of Islamic teachings and cultural depictions of their respected communities.
