The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a sophisticated indoor cannabis farm at a residential property in Apapa, Lagos, and arrested two suspects, including a 49-year-old Polish national, over their alleged involvement in the operation.

The suspects were identified as Thomas Razvickas, 49, a Polish national, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian.

They were arrested on Monday, November 2, 2026, at about 8:15 a.m., after police operatives acted on credible intelligence regarding suspicious activities at the property.

According to the police, the facility was equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis, indicating that the premises were allegedly being used for an organised indoor drug production operation.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said both suspects resided at the property searched by the operatives.

The police said the discovery was made during an intelligence-driven search of the premises, which exposed an indoor farming facility fitted with equipment allegedly used to cultivate and process the suspected cannabis.

Following the operation, the suspects were taken into police custody and have made confessional statements while providing information to assist investigators.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, subsequently visited the property to inspect the facility, assess the extent of the suspected operation and receive updates on the ongoing investigation.

Fatai commended the police operatives for acting on the intelligence and successfully uncovering the suspected drug production facility.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling drug-related offences, dismantling criminal networks and preventing criminal elements from using Lagos State as a base for their activities.

The police commissioner also acknowledged the contributions of residents who provide useful information to security agencies, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.

The Command assured residents that it would sustain intelligence-led operations and other proactive security measures to combat criminal activities across the state.
