The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) says it has concluded the year with the successful enrolment and biometric capture of 2,500 informal sector beneficiaries across the state during its December exercise.

The Director-General of KADCHMA, Abubakar Hassan, disclosed this on Wednesday in Kaduna while speaking with journalists, highlighting the authority’s operational milestones and the collaborative efforts that strengthened the state’s health insurance programme throughout the year.

Mr Hassan commended Governor Uba Sani for what he described as purposeful leadership and reforms that have revitalised healthcare facilities across Kaduna State.

“The governor’s administrative approach has significantly improved service delivery, efficiency and patient confidence in our healthcare system,” he said.

He noted that advocacy, sensitisation and awareness campaigns recorded remarkable progress, with support from traditional and religious leaders, the mainstream media, social media platforms and other communication channels across the state.

According to him, sustained outreach and engagement were key drivers of the impressive enrolment figures recorded at the end of the year, reflecting growing public trust in the Kaduna State Health Insurance Scheme.

Mr Hassan explained that the enrolment achievements were largely made possible through the support of charity foundations, philanthropists, organisations, families and individuals committed to expanding health coverage for vulnerable residents.

The director-general expressed appreciation to all partners and donors for their confidence in the scheme and its people-centred public health objectives.

He reaffirmed that KADCHMA remained open to partnerships with philanthropists, groups, organisations and individuals dedicated to improving health outcomes and ensuring equitable access to care across the state.

Mr Hassan also urged political leaders and wealthy individuals to emulate such gestures by supporting healthcare initiatives that bring relief to the less privileged.
