Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has signed into law a bill creating the official Seal of Adamawa State, now recognized as the government’s emblem of authority.
The law regulates the use of the Seal, restricting it to official purposes, with penalties of up to ₦250,000 or two years’ imprisonment for individuals, and ₦1,000,000 for corporate bodies in cases of misuse.
The Seal features symbols of Adamawa’s identity, including the kakaki, spear, horse, lion, 21 stars (LGAs), book, crops, cattle, and fisherman, each reflecting the state’s strength and resources.
Governor Fintiri described the Seal as “a statement of identity, dignity, and responsibility” for all who serve under it.
