The White House has announced that President Donald Trump will make a final decision in the next two weeks on whether the United States will intervene in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

This statement comes amid rising casualties and intensified military actions on both sides.

Iran launched multiple missile strikes that hit key locations in central and southern Israel, including the Soroka Medical Center.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces responded by targeting Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, a critical facility in its nuclear infrastructure.

Israel’s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, said one of the country’s objectives is to “eliminate” Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — a comment likely to inflame already dangerous tensions in the region.

President Trump, in a brief statement, confirmed that the US is still evaluating its options.

“All options remain on the table,” he said, noting the strategic and humanitarian implications of American involvement.

The conflict has taken a significant human toll.

Over 240 people have died in Iran due to Israeli airstrikes, including at least 70 women and children. In Israel, the Iranian attacks have killed at least 24 people so far.

Observers warn that a direct US entry into the conflict could spark a broader regional war with global consequences.
