The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the air component of Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY), has carried out a series of coordinated air missions over Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla, and nearby communities in Kwara State.

In a statement issued by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, it was disclosed that reconnaissance missions and close air support were carried out to neutralize threats, with hostile groups detected east of Babanla effectively targeted.

Daily Post reported that the “statement disclosed that concurrent surveillance flights also covered key settlements and military positions, gathering critical intelligence to support ground forces.”

According to the statement, the missions reaffirm NAF’s commitment to protecting troops and civilians, maintaining air superiority, and sustaining pressure on hostile actors.

The Air Force assured Nigerians of its unwavering resolve to defend the nation’s territorial integrity and safeguard communities against threats.

It further urged Nigerians to stay alert, and supportive of the Armed Forces as ongoing decisive measures work toward achieving enduring peace and strengthening security nationwide.
