Iconic Open University has announced the commencement of its Fall Semester 2025 admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through its Open, Distance, and E-Learning (ODEL) platform.
Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and recognised by JAMB, the institution remains committed to delivering flexible and accessible education to learners across Nigeria.
According to the university, prospective students do not need to sit for the UTME but are required to register with JAMB as distance learning students for either direct entry or fresh undergraduate admissions. Application fees are set at ₦10,000 for undergraduate and ₦15,000 for postgraduate programmes.
Academic programmes cover wide disciplines
Iconic Open University offers robust academic programmes across several faculties including Allied Health Sciences, Computing, Management, Social Sciences, Arts, and Education.
Undergraduate degrees offered include Nursing Science, Public Health, Mass Communication with specialisations in radio, TV, print and digital media, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer and Information Technology, Arabic Language, English Language, and Islamic Studies.
Eligible candidates can enrol into 100 level with SSCE, or enter 200 or 300 level with ND, NCE, HND, or B.Sc. qualifications.
Tuition fees for undergraduates range from ₦85,000 to ₦135,000 per semester depending on the course and level.
PGD and master’s programmes designed for professionals
Postgraduate applicants can choose from Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Master’s programmes across high-demand fields.
PGD options—spanning Education, Public Health, Community Health, IT, Management, and Social Science—are offered over two semesters.
Master’s programmes run for three semesters and include Master of Information Technology (MIT), featuring AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Economy; Master of Public Health (MPH), with tracks in Epidemiology, Disaster Management, and Health Promotion; and Master of Business Administration (MBA), offering options like Petroleum Business, Islamic Finance, and e-Commerce.
Other master’s offerings include Master of Public Administration (MPA) with modules in Governance, Policy, and MDAs Management; Master of Crime Management & Security Studies (MCMSS), including Aviation Safety, Border Control, and Forensics; Master in International Relations (MIR), with specialisations in Diplomacy, Climate Action, and Human Rights; and Master in Education (M.Ed.), focused on Curriculum, Educational Planning, and Counseling.
Postgraduate tuition ranges from ₦130,000 to ₦195,000 per semester, depending on the specialization.
