The Presidency has announced the immediate dismissal of Fegho Umunubo, who had served as Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President.
In a statement released on Monday by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Abiodun Oladunjoye, it was announced that Fegho Umunubo’s appointment has been terminated with immediate effect.
The statement also emphasized that Umunubo no longer holds any role within the Tinubu administration and cannot act on its behalf in any capacity.
The statement reads, “Stakeholders and constituents of the digital and creative economy, at home and abroad, as well as the general public are hereby notified that Fegho John Umunubo, who hitherto had served as the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy (Office of the Vice President), has been disengaged with immediate effect.”
“Kindly note that he no longer represents this administration in any capacity.
The statement cautioned that anyone engaging with Umunubo while presenting him as a representative of President Tinubu’s administration would be doing so at their own risk.
It further advised stakeholders and players in the digital and creative economy to take note of the development and act accordingly.
