The Kwara State Government has initiated the distribution of relief materials to households affected by the recent attacks in Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area.
A statement shared on the official Facebook page of the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (KW-EMA), signed by Atolagbe Seun, confirmed the commencement of the aid.
The intervention, coordinated by the state’s Committee on Woro and Nuku Attacks, aims to provide immediate assistance to affected households and ease the impact of the violence on residents.
Officials said the second phase of the distribution is ongoing, with over 550 households already benefiting from the support. The relief materials are being allocated across impacted communities to ensure fair access for all victims.
Authorities noted that the distribution process and broader intervention efforts are continuing as the government works to restore normalcy and deliver humanitarian aid to families affected by the attacks.
