All Progressives Congress conducted its ward congresses in Kebbi, producing new executives across the state.
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, on Wednesday monitored the exercise held statewide, assuring cooperation with the newly elected party officials.
Idris supervised the process alongside key party figures, including the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero; the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu; and the State APC Chairman, Abubakar Kana-Zuru.
The governor inspected selected centres, including Kauran Gwandu Primary School and Justice Ibrahim Umar Primary School in Birnin Kebbi, where the ward congresses took place.
Party officials indicated that the congresses were organised in all 225 wards of the state and resulted in the emergence of new ward executives through a consensus arrangement.
Addressing party members at one of the venues, Idris pledged that his administration would partner with the newly elected ward leaders to promote party and government initiatives at the grassroots.
The APC State Chairman, Kana-Zuru, explained that the consensus approach followed extensive consultations with stakeholders and was in line with party regulations.
The Chairman of the Ward Congress Committee, Abdulmalik Mahmood, stated that the exercise conformed with the party’s constitution.
The congresses were held on the same day the holy month of Ramadan began.
