Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office and reaffirmed their absolute loyalty to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the party’s national chairman and political leader in the state.

The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting held on Tuesday at Ganduje’s residence in Kano.

Unity, strategy top agenda at Ganduje’s residence

Speaking at the meeting, Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, said the purpose of the gathering was to resolve internal issues, foster unity, and prepare the party for a strong outing in the 2027 elections.

“We are fully committed to the success of President Tinubu and our great party. This meeting is about consolidating our base, strengthening our unity, and positioning the APC to win convincingly in 2027,” Abbas said.

APC extends hand to Kwankwasiyya, issues warning

The party leadership in Kano signaled willingness to welcome Kwankwasiyya movement members into the APC but warned of political consequences if they remain in the opposition.

“If Kwankwasiyya members are ready to join us in the APC, we will welcome them. But if they remain in opposition, we will confront them decisively at the polls,” Abbas warned.

APC defends Tinubu’s projects in the North
Stakeholders dismissed allegations of regional bias in federal project allocations and praised the Tinubu administration’s focus on development in the North, especially Kano.

They noted that President Tinubu’s policies and infrastructure projects reflect an inclusive governance style that benefits all regions.

Top APC figures attend Kano meeting
Among the notable attendees were: Former governorship candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and Minister of State for FCT Dr. Mariya Bunkure.

Others are Senator Kawu Sumaila, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, and Sani Bala Tsanyawa.

Other high-ranking APC leaders and government appointees were also present.

The leaders pledged to work together to maintain APC’s political dominance in Kano and secure sweeping victories in 2027 at both the state and national levels.
