Former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has urged the Muslim Ummah to intensify prayers for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria, as well as for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the Maulud celebration.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar also called on Muslims to seize the Maulud occasion to offer fervent prayers for national stability and divine direction for the President and his administration.
In support of Muslim faithful during the celebration, Senator Yari donated 43 cows, 356 bags of rice, and ₦12,500,000 to 43 Zawiyyah across the 14 Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.
The distribution of the items was launched at the Late President Muhammadu Buhari Jumu’at Mosque, Unguwar Gwaza, by Hon. Sani Garba Gusau, Commissioner representing Zamfara State in the Federal Character Commission, Abuja, and a close associate of Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.
Hon. Gusau explained that the food items and financial assistance form part of Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s yearly support to Islamic groups across the State, aimed at helping them mark the Maulud celebration with relative peace and comfort.
He reaffirmed Senator Yari’s consistent commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Zamfara State, stressing that such interventions demonstrate his continued efforts to assist religious institutions and reduce the hardship faced by citizens.
He also extended Senator Yari’s warm greetings to the Muslim community in Zamfara State and around the world on the auspicious occasion commemorating the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging Muslims to preserve his virtues to make the world a better place for everyone.
In his remarks, Liman Isah Unguwar Gwaza offered special prayers for Senator Abdulaziz Yari and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for success ahead of the 2027 general election, as well as for peace and stability across Nigeria.
He described Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar as a blessing to humanity and an outstanding leader who consistently prioritises the welfare of his people.
