Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has suspended the District Head of Daware, Alhaji Hassan Ja’afaru, over allegations of corruption, maladministration, breach of security, and other misconducts.
Ja’afaru, who served in Daware under Fufore Local Government Area, was found guilty following an investigation into multiple complaints against him.
According to a letter dated April 25, 2025, and signed by the Permanent Secretary of Chieftaincy Affairs, Adama Mamman, the district head was ordered to hand over all government properties in his custody to the district secretary.
The letter partly reads: “Following a series of complaints made against you for maladministration, corruption, breach of security, confiscation of farmlands, and creating a vacuum that has left traditional matters unattended due to your absence from the domain, I am directed by the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, to suspend you from office indefinitely.”
The government said further actions would follow after the handover process.
