The Borno State Police Command has arrested four suspects during a targeted raid in Maiduguri.

The operation was carried out on January 26, 2026, by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) – Social Vice Unit.

Police recovered 222 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

They also seized nine Diazepam tablets, 401 Exol tablets, 327 D5 tablets, and 29 Tramadol tablets.

The suspects and the recovered substances are currently in police custody.

Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court in accordance with the law.

ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Police Public Relations Officer on Tuesday, said the command remains committed to fighting drug abuse, trafficking, and criminal activities across the state.

He reassured the public of the police’s dedication to protecting lives and property.
