The Borno State Police Command has arrested 65 suspects and recovered dangerous weapons and illicit drugs following coordinated raids across the state.
The operations, carried out by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on January 5 and 8, 2026, were intelligence-led and targeted known criminal hideouts.
Items recovered include cutlasses, knives, Indian hemp, various controlled substances, customized antelope horns, and a shisha pot.
ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, ANIPR, FCAI, Police Public Relations Officer for the Borno State Command on Monday, said the suspects are under thorough investigation and will be charged to court as appropriate.
He reassured residents of the command’s commitment to combating crime and urged the public to provide timely and useful information to enhance security.
