Professor Babagana Umara Zulum

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has concluded a two-day tour of frontline locations in southern and central Borno, on Sunday.

During his tour, the governor inspected key projects, including 500 resettlement houses and over 3,000 temporary shelters in Mayinti and DaraJamal.

Governor Zulum announced plans to resettle three communities previously displaced by insurgents, namely Kumshe, Mayinti, and Tarmuwa, all located in Bama Local Government Area.

The governor also visited Kirawa, where he approved the construction of a hospital, water facilities, and the reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents.

Additionally, he traveled to Banki town, which borders the Cameroon Republic, to strengthen security mechanisms following a violent insurgency attack.

Governor Zulum was accompanied on the tour by a member of the House of Representatives, Engr Bukar Talba, the Acting Chief of Staff, Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe, commissioners, and other senior government officials.
