In a significant display of party unity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors have formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

This endorsement was made during the APC National Summit at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, where the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) collectively declared its support for Tinubu’s re-election bid

The motion was moved by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and was seconded by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.

The move drew resounding applause from party faithful and key stakeholders present at the summit.

Speaking on behalf of the governors, Uzodimma reaffirmed their commitment to President Tinubu’s leadership and pledged to mobilise their states in support of his candidacy.

He described Tinubu’s ongoing reforms as bold and transformative, noting that they have laid the foundation for a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.

The endorsement is an indicator to the growing momentum behind Tinubu’s 2027 bid, following similar votes of confidence from APC governors in the North-Central and Northwest zones.

These governors have commended Tinubu’s developmental achievements and efforts to foster national cohesion.

“We, the Progressive Governors, stand united in our resolve to support President Tinubu. We will work tirelessly to deliver our respective states for the APC in 2027,” Uzodimma declared, reaffirming their commitment to Tinubu’s leadership and pledging to mobilize their states in support of his candidacy .
