Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has instructed his legal team to withdraw all ongoing lawsuits against Senator Natasha and other parties.
Akpabio disclosed this while addressing worshippers during a New Year service at Sacred Heart Parish, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He explained that he had filed close to nine court cases against people he accused of defaming and slandering him.
However, he noted that his position changed after listening to a sermon delivered by the priest during the service.
“I had almost nine cases in court against some individuals who defamed me, who lied against me and slandered my name. But as I listened to the priest, I suddenly realised he was speaking to me,” Akpabio said.
He stated that the message inspired him to forgive those concerned, prompting his decision to discontinue all legal actions.
“Therefore, I hereby direct my solicitors to withdraw all lawsuits against them,” the Senate President stated.
