The Nigerian Air Force has carried out a precision airstrike on a major terrorist hideout in the Sambisa area.
In a statement, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, said the operation was executed on Wednesday at a location identified as Arra, following intelligence linking the site to movements of fighters involved in the October 17 ambush on troops at Kashomri.
The strike was directed by the Chief of the Air Staff and conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.
According to the statement, the mission followed a series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance flights that tracked suspicious activities around Kashomri and deeper into Sambisa.
The NAF said the ISR missions confirmed active terrorist structures at Arra, prompting a deliberate strike.
Air assets engaged the targets in coordinated passes and destroyed all identified objectives.
The Air Force said the attack has weakened the group’s ability to operate and disrupted its command and logistics networks.
The statement added that the success of the strike reflects the Air Force’s continued support for ground troops and sustained pressure on terrorist groups across multiple fronts.
The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to defending the country and ensuring long-term security for citizens.
