The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has endorsed former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, as its governorship flagbearer for the 2027 general elections.
This was disclosed in a statement released by Mohammed Bello Doka, Special Assistant on Media to Malami, stating that party executives, stakeholders, and supporters had shown confidence in the ADC’s readiness for the forthcoming election season.
According to the statement, retired military officer, Aminu Bande, was endorsed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Kebbi Central, while retired Deputy Comptroller-General, Ibrahim Muhammad Mera, emerged as the candidate for Kebbi North Senatorial District.
It further stated that Garba Danjuma Limi was endorsed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Kebbi South.
The statement explained that the party remained dedicated to delivering purposeful leadership, good governance, justice, security, and sustainable development for Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole.
It also appealed for unity and commitment among party members and supporters, expressing confidence that the ADC would build “a more prosperous future for generations to come.”
Malami is currently standing trial, but the former Minister has continued to maintain innocence, alleging political witch hunt.
