The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured third place at the 2025 Headquarters Air Training Command Intra Command sports competition held at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Mando, Kaduna.
Team EFCC was invited to participate in the tug-of-war category and emerged with a bronze medal after outperforming strong teams from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Air Force Training Command, and Air Force Base 453.
At the closing ceremony on Friday, May 30, 2025, the Acting Director of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate, ACE I Bawa Kaltungo, applauded the athletes’ courage and determination.
“Despite the short notice, I saw the hunger to win in all of you. You competed with unity and strength. This bronze is well-earned. We’ll be even better prepared next time,” Kaltungo said.
Also speaking, Head of the Sports Committee, ACE II Aliyu Barkindo, commended the team for projecting the Commission’s image through discipline and teamwork.
The medal decoration took place during the closing ceremony and marked a proud moment for the EFCC sports unit.
