Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has restated that Borno remains one of the strongest pillars of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country.

He made the remark on Monday during the official flag-off of the APC North-East Zonal “Train-the-Trainers” workshop on e-registration held in Maiduguri.

The workshop represents a key step in the party’s digital reform and modernization agenda.

It was officially declared open by the deputy national chairman (north), Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori, who represented the APC national chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.

The governor described the APC as “a party deeply rooted in the hearts of Borno people,” adding that the state remains “an unshakable stronghold of the ruling party.”

“From the grassroots to the state level, Borno is proudly APC,” the governor said.

“Our consistent victories under the party’s banner are a reflection of our people’s confidence in the leadership, vision, and developmental strides of the APC.”

He commended the party’s national leadership for embracing technology as a tool to strengthen internal democracy, enhance transparency, and promote accountability.

Also speaking, national vice chairman (North-East), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, described the initiative as “a bold step toward ensuring accurate, inclusive, and verifiable membership records for the party.”

The “Train-the-Trainers” program aims to build the capacity of selected party officials who will oversee the digital registration process across the North-East region.

Earlier, Borno State APC chairman, Hon. Bello Ayuba, welcomed the national officials and praised Governor Zulum for his unwavering support to the party.

He assured that the Borno APC chapter is fully prepared to implement the digital registration exercise across the state’s 27 local government areas.

Ayuba noted that Borno remains “one of the strongest and most united APC strongholds in the country.”
