Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commissioned 100 newly constructed homes in Rigachikun, delivered through a partnership between the Family Homes Funds and the Kaduna State Government.
The project, aimed at supporting vulnerable women and families, will see the houses allocated free of charge to widows, underscoring the administration’s strong commitment to inclusive growth, poverty reduction, and the upliftment of the less privileged across the state.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Uba Sani said the initiative was designed to restore dignity and hope to widows who have endured hardship and uncertainty.
“Today, we are not just handing over keys, we are restoring dignity, stability, and a sense of belonging to our mothers and sisters who have suffered the pain of loss,” the governor said.
“My administration is determined to ensure that no citizen of Kaduna State is left behind. Providing decent housing for widows is part of our broader social inclusion agenda that prioritizes the welfare of vulnerable groups.”
Partnership for Progress
Governor Sani commended the Family Homes Funds for its collaboration and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to expanding access to affordable housing through strategic partnerships.
The governor noted that similar projects are underway across the state as part of efforts to address housing deficits, empower women, and promote social justice.
He assured that his administration will continue to invest in programs that empower widows, orphans, and other vulnerable groups, in line with his People-Centered Governance Agenda.
