Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued 86 kidnapped victims and arrested 29 logistics suppliers in separate operations across Borno State.

The success was recorded on November 9, when troops of the 135 Special Forces Battalion under Sector 2 encountered Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists at Dutse Kura.

According to the military, the troops acted swiftly after discovering that the terrorists were abducting civilians and vehicles along the Buratai–Kamuya Road.

They reportedly foiled the ambush, pursued the insurgents toward Mangari, and overpowered them during a follow-up encounter near a terrorist camp.

The insurgents fled in disarray, leaving behind 11 makeshift structures that were later destroyed after clearance operations.

During the operation, troops rescued 86 victims, including men, women, and children.

Recovered items included one AK-47 rifle, five magazines with 73 rounds, four PKT ammunition belts, five civilian vehicles, five motorcycles, eight bicycles, and two logistics tricycles.

In a related development, troops stationed at Mangada arrested 29 terrorist logistics suppliers on their way to Chilaria.

The military said the suspects were transporting two pickup vans and a tricycle loaded with about 1,000 liters of petrol, engine oil, new gun truck tires, medical supplies, and food items.

All operations were completed without any troop casualties.

Media Information Officer for Operation Hadin Kai, Sani Uba, said the military high command commended the troops for their gallantry and professionalism.

He added that the command urged them to sustain the momentum to deny terrorists freedom of action across the Northeast.
