The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara State Command, has pledged closer collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to enhance enforcement and reduce road traffic crashes in the state.
This followed a courtesy visit by the newly posted Commander of the 207 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force, Captain Kehinde O. Akinyis, to the office of the FRSC Sector Commander, CC Aliyu Ma’aji, in Gusau.
In a statement signed by the FRSC spokesperson, Isah Aliyu, Captain Akinyis commended the Corps for its unique style and reputation as one of the most trusted organisations in Nigeria.
FRSC calls for collaboration
He noted that FRSC personnel play a vital role in clearing obstructions, sensitising road users, and rescuing victims of road traffic crashes.
He therefore called for sustained collaboration, particularly in the areas of driver training and other joint efforts aimed at reducing fatalities and injuries on the highways.
In his response, the Sector Commander, CC Aliyu Ma’aji, expressed delight over the visit, assuring the Nigerian Air Force of the Corps’ continuous support.
He reaffirmed the FRSC’s commitment to work closely with sister agencies in pursuit of safer roads and a reduction in traffic-related incidents across Zamfara State.
