The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, has called on public-spirited individuals and organizations to assist victims of the devastating flood that recently struck Mokwa in Niger State, claiming over 150 lives.
He noted that survivors are facing difficult times and urgently need compassion and material support from all sectors of society.
Senator Abdullahi praised the Niger State Government and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for promptly distributing food and relief materials to hundreds of affected households.

He also expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the federal government for their swift response, including a consoling message and clear directives to relevant agencies to assist the affected communities.
According to the Minister, the visible interventions on the ground are reassuring, as aid is reaching those hardest hit by the disaster.
He further extended his condolences to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, acknowledging the burden of leadership in managing the crisis and restoring normalcy to the distressed communities.
